Marvellash & Flirties Eyelash Extensions.

Eyelash extensions have recently become a really big trend in the salon. It used to be just for weddings, holidays and special occasions, but now my clients can't be without their lashes!

The products I use are Salon System Marvellash lashes and Flirties glue.
I used to use the marvellash glue which I couldn't get along with whatsoever so I was looking around for a while for a lash glue that I could use which would dry in 1-5 seconds so i could get my sets done  quickly and so my client isn't laying there for ages waiting for her lashes to dry and not sting!

This is a set I did last week, my client has size 9mm in the inner corner, blending into size 11mm to fill out the lashes. These are my favourite look, I much prefer these to longer lashes, even when some clients like to have 13mm or 15mm through to make them appear more feathery, these ones to me are more flattering.

The lashes are fab though, my clients love them! Thick enough but still natural. The main lengths I use are 9mm,11mm and a few 13mm dotted through to have the fluttery effect. A couple of people will have 15mm on but mainly younger ladies who don't necessarily want a natural look.
Most clients will go 2 weeks in between appointments to keep them fresh some will go 3 weeks but of course there is more work to do and it will cost them more.

I use www.ellisons.co.uk to get all of my lash stock (minus the glue). You have to be qualified and make sure that ellisons have your certificate before you can buy anything, but after that you can buy the whole range!
Ellisons offer free delivery over £50, which is very easy to go over!

These are the lashes I like to use:

As I said before, I use the flirties glue. Again, you have to be qualified and show your certificate before you can buy anything.
I just find it is so much stronger and dries so quickly. It does have a slight odour but nothing too strong to sit above.
I use the flirties expert black adhesive and it works perfectly for me.

Flirties also will send out test pots of different glues for you to try to see what you prefer for free! Just pay postage (I think!)

All in all clients have never been happier and they have never wanted their lashes done so much!

I will do a post on the fun coloured lashes post soon. They look like this!

What colour tips would you like in your lashes? I love the blue and purple!

CND Shellac - Creekside

I have used CND Shellac for about 3 years now and I just love it! Its such a fantastic product with no damage to your nails at all but also the range of colours to choose from are just
amazing.

When I saw they were bringing out the collection Flora & Fauna I was a little bit concerned they were bringing out spring colours in winter and that no one would go for them yet, but my clients can't get enough!

Creekside has been a firm favourite of mine since I've had the new collection. I didn't think I would be a fan as I thought it would make me look a bit 'zombie nails' (I'm very pale!)
..I am so in love!

Its an absolutely beautiful baby blue with a cream finish. At first I thought it would be too masculine as I never ever wear blue (Im very much a pink girl) but I have really grown to love it, especially as my nails are sculpted with CND Brisa Lite gel into an almond shape. A lot more feminine for me!
Since I have been wearing it, it has given many of my clients inspiration to wear it themselves or add glitter. It is certainly now right up there on my favourites list.

What is your favourite nail polish colour?

Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm - Review

I came across the Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm in Debenhams when searching for a new cleanser and it got recommended to me so I thought I'd give it a go!

It comes with a flannel which was handy. You don't need a lot of this product at all, it totally melts into your skin and dissolves make up. I leave mine on a few minutes then gently wipe off with a damp flannel. The only thing I'm not overly keen on is getting my eye make up off. (Although it says avoid contact with eyes) It's not awful but I find I have to use it once, rinse and cleanse again to get all of it off.

You can also use it as a nourishing mask by smoothing it on, massage it in and leave it for 10 minutes, then again gently remove with a warm cloth. I like to do this when I'm in the bath while I have conditioner in my hair to feel really pampered.

I have been using this product for about 2 months now. My skin is left glowing and so clean! I haven't found another cleanser like this which makes my skin feel so smooth, and no breakouts! It's a bit pricey at £39.50 for 105g but i think it's totally worth it as I have had it a couple of months, I haven't used it everyday but most days and I've hardly made a dent!

It's suitable for all skin types which is brilliant as Ive been recommending it to everyone I know! It's such a luxury product for me as I don't normally treat myself to products like this so it would also make a lovely gift as Christmas is coming.

All In all I think it's a lovely product!

Have you given the cleansing balm a try? Why not drop a comment below and let me know what you made of it.

John Lewis are doing a price match at the moment for just £35.55 for 105g

You can get it here.
